Mark Chapter 3

1 Again, he entered into the synagogue, and there was a man there with a withered hand. 2 They were watching him, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so they might accuse him. 3 So he said to the man with the withered hand,

"Get up here in front of everyone."

4 Then he said to them,

"Is it lawful on the Sabbath, to do good or to do evil? To save life,' or to kill?"

But they were silent.

5 Looking around at them angrily, beause he was grieved at their hardheartedness, he said to the man,
"Stretch out your hand."

And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

6 When he left, the Pharisees immediately began to conspire with the Herodians, how they might kill him. 7a So Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed.

8 So from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, beyond the Jordan, and around Tyre and Sidon, a great crowd came to him, having heard about how much he was doing. 9 He told his disciples to prepare a boat for him, because of the crowd, so they would not hem him in. 10 He had healed many, so those with diseases were crowd around him to try and touch him. 11 And when the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him, and cried out,  saying,

"You are the Son of God."

12 But he rebuked them severely, so they would not reveal him.

13 Jesus went up on the mountain and called to himself those he wanted; and they went to him. 14 Then he appointed twelve, so that they might be with him, and so that he might send them to preach, 15 and to have power to cast out demons." 16 And he appointed the twelve; Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter.v17 Jacob the son of Zebadee and his brother John, to whom he gave the name Boanerges, that is "Sons of Thunder," 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, Jacob the son of Alphaeus, Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot, 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

20 Then he came to a house, and a crowd came together again, so that they were not even able to eat a simple meal. 21 Having heard of this, his relatives came to take custody of him, saying,

                "He's actually lost his mind".

22 And the scribes, having come down from Jerusalem, said,

"He has Beelzebul, and by the prince of demons he casts out demons."

23 But having called them to himself, he spoke to them in parables saying,

"How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom
cannot stand." 25 and if a house is divided against itself , that house cannot stand."
26 and if Satan has risen up against himself and has been divided, he cannot stand, but is
done for."  27 For no one can enter the house of the strong man to steal his possessions,
unless he has bound the strong man first; then he will plunder his house." 28 Truly I say
to you that all the sins and blasphemies of the sons of men will be forgiven, as many as
they have blasphemed will be forgiven." 29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy
Spirit will never be forgiven, for all eternity, but is guilty of an eternal sin."

30 because they said, 'he has an unclean spirit."

31 Then his mother and brothers arrived, and standing outside, sent word to him. 32 But a crowd sat around him, so they said to him,

"Look, your mother, your brothers are outside looking for you."

33 and answering them he says, who are my mother, and my brothers?" 34 and having looked around at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said

"Look around.  Here are my mother, and my brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother, and sister and mother."

Mark Chapter 2

1 After several days Jesus entered into Capernaum again, and people heard that he had come home. 2 Many people were gathered there, so there was no more space, not even at the door, and he spoke the Word to them. 3 Some men came to him bringing a paralytic, carried by four of them, 4 but they were not able to come near him because of the crowd. (So) they removed the roof where he was, and having broken it up, they lowered the pallet on which the paralytic man was laying. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic,
"Son, your sins are forgiven."

6 Now there were also some Scribes sitting there, and they were reasoning in their hearts.
7 "Why does this man speak like this. He Blasphemes. Who except God is able to forgive sins?"

8 Suddenly Jesus, having discerned in his spirit that they were thinking these things, said to them,
"Why do you think these things in your hearts? 9 which is easier, to say to the paralytic 'your sins are forgiven,' or to say 'get up, pick up your mat and walk?' 10 but in order that you may know that the Son of Man has power upon the earth to forgive sins,"

 he said to the paralytic,
11 "To you I say, 'Get Up, pick up your mat and go home."

12  and suddenly he got up, and taking his mat, he left in front of them all. Everyone was amazed and glorified God saying,
"We've never seen anything like this."

13 Once again he went by the sea, and the whole crowd came to him, and he taught them. 14 and moving on, he saw Levi, Alphaeus' son, sitting at the tax booth, and said to him,
"Follow me."

and getting up, he followed him. 15 And it just so happened, while dining in his house, many tax collectors and sinners were there reclining with Jesus and his disciples, because there were many who followed him, 16 that the Scribes, and the Pharisees, having seen him eat with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples,
"Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

17  Having heard this, Jesus said to them,
"The healthy have no need for a doctor, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

18  Now the John's disciples, and those of the Pharisees, were fasting; and they came and said to him,
"Why do John's disciples, and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but yours do not fast?"

19 And Jesus said to them,
"How can the groomsmen fast while the groom is with them? They cannot, while he is with them. 20  But days will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then in that day, they will fast. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunken cloth onto an old outfit; because the new cloth will pull away the old, and a worse tear takes place. 22  just as no one puts new wine into old wineskins, because the wine will burst the wineskins, and the wine will be destroyed along with the wineskins. But new wine goes into new wineskins."

23  And it so happened that passing through the grainfields on the Sabbath, his disciples started plucking heads of grain, 24 and the Pharisees said to him,

"Now see here! Why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"
25 And he said to them,

"Haven't you read what David did when he was desperate and hungry, he and those who were with him? 26 how he entered God's House, in (the days of) the high priest Abiathar, and ate the Bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful to eat, even for the priests; and he even gave some to those who were with him.
27 And he said to them,

"The Sabbath is for man, not man for the Sabbath."

28 So then, the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.

Mark Chapter 1

1 The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Just as it is in written in Isaiah the prophet,

"Behold I will send my messenger to you. who will prepare your way. 3 A voice crying in the wilderness, 'PREPARE THE LORD'S WAY. MAKE HIS PATH STRAIGHT.'"

4 (So,) John came; baptizing in the wilderness, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins." 5 And the whole Judean region, and all the people of Jerusalem, were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

6 John wore camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, eating locusts and wild honey 7 and he preached, saying,

"The one who comes after me, is more powerful than I am, whose sandle straps I am unfit to bend down and untie. 8 I baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
9 Now, in those days Jesus came from Nazareth, (in the region of) Galilee, and was baptised in the Jordan by John. 10 As soon as he emerged from the water, he saw the heavens tearing open and the spirit descending upon him, like a dove. 11 And a voice came out of the heavens (saying),

"You are my beloved Son, in whom I delight.'"

12 and immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness. 13 He was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered to him."

14 After John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the God's Good News 15 saying,

"Now is the time! the Kingdom of God is near! Repent, and believe the Good News!"

16 Passing by the sea of Galilee he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen; 17 and Jesus said to them,

"Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

18 and immediately they followed him, having left their nets behind.

19 Having gone on a little farther, he saw Zebedee's son James, and his brother John, in their boat mending the nets. 20 Immediately he called them, and they followed him, leaving their father Zebadee in the boat with the hired servants.

21 They went to Capernaum; and on the Sabbath, Jesus went directly to the synagogue and began to teach, 22 and they were shocked by his teaching, because, unlike the scribes, he was teaching them like someone with authority. 23 Then suddenly, in their synagogue, was a man with an unclean spirit, who cried out,

24 "What is your business with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Did you come to destroy us? I know who you are, God's Holy One!"

25 but Jesus rebuked him saying,

"BE QUIET!' and 'COME OUT OF HIM!"

26 and having thrown the man into convulsions, the unclean spirit came out crying with a loud voice.

27 Everyone was astonished and asked themselves, 'what is this powerful new teaching? He commands even the unlean spirits, and they obey him!

28 So word about him spread quickly, all around the region of Galilee."

29 After they left the synagoge they came to the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John."

30 Now, Simon's mother-in-law was sick in bed, with a fever, so they spoke to him about her." 31 So he went to her and took her hand and raised her up - and the fever left her, and she served them.

32 That evening, after sunset, they brought to him everyone who was sick, and demon possessed  33 and the whole city gathered together at the door." 34 And he healed many who had various diseases, and cast out many demons. But he did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

35 Very early, while it was still dark, having woken up, Jesus went to a lonely place to pray. 36 and Simon, and those with him, went after him. 37 and having found him, they said to him,

"Everyone is looking for you."

38 and he said to them,

"Let's go into the neighboring towns by a different way, so I might preach there as well, because this is why I came."

39 and he went all over Galilee preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.

40 A leper came to him, and knelt down and implored him saying,

"If you want to, you are able to cleanse me."

41 Jesus was offended, (But) reaching out his hand, he touched the man and said to him,

"I do want to! Be cleansed."

42 And immediately the leprosy left him and he was clean. 43 And having warned him, he sent him straight away. 44 He said to him,

"See that you don't speak to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest and offer for the cleansing what Moses commanded as a testimony to them."

45 But instead he went out and started to tell everybody the news, so that Jesus was no longer able to enter a city freely.

So he stayed in remote places, and people came to him from every all over.

Genesis Chapter 1

Day 1
1:1 In the beginning ELOHIM created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 But the earth was formless and empty, and darkness (was) on the surface of the deep. And ELOHIM's Spirit moved on the face of the waters.
1:3 Then HE said, "Let there be light!" and there was light.
1:4 And ELOHIM saw that the light was good, and HE divided the light from the darkness
1:5 And HE called the light "Day" and the darkness HE called "night". And there was an evening and a morning. Day 1.

Day 21:6 Then ELOHIM said, "Let there be a firmament between the waters, to separate water from water:
1:7 So ELOHIM made the firmament, and HE divided the water that was below the firmament form the water above it, and it ws so.
1:8 HE called the Firmament "sky." and there was an evening and a morning. Day 2

Day 31:9 Then ELOHIM said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the land appear." and it was so.
1:10 HE called the dry land "earth," and the gathered waters HE called "seas." And HE saw that it was good.
1:11 Then ELOHIM said, "Let the earth produce vegetation: seed bearing plants, and trees bearing fruit which carries its seed, each according to its kind," and it was so.
1:12 (So) the earth bore vegetation, plants bearing seeds - according to its kind, and trees bearing fruit which carries it's seed - according to it's kind, and ELOHIM saw that it was good.
1:13 There was an evening and a morning. Day 3.

Day 4
1:14 Then ELOHIM said, "Let there be bodies of light in the heaven's firmament, to separate the day from the night. Let them be for signs, for days, for seasons, and for years."
1:15 "Let them shine in the heaven's firmament and give light to the earth," and it was so.
1:16 ELOHIM made two great lights: The greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and he made the stars.
1:17 HE set them in the heaven's firmament to give light to the earth,
1:18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light and the darkness; and ELOHIM saw that it was good.

1:19 There was an evening and a morning. Day 4.

Day 5
1:20 Then ELOHIM said, "Let the waters teem with a swarm of living creatures, and let winged creatures fly over the earth - across the firmament of the heavens."
1:21 So HE created the great sea creatures, and everything that swarms in the teeming waters, each according to its kind; and every winged creature according to its kind, and ELOHIM saw that it was good.
1:22 Then HE blessed them saying, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the waters in the seas, and let the winged creatures multiply on the earth."

1:23 There was an evening and a morning. Day 5

Day 6
1:24 Then ELOHIM said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures, (each) according to it's kind: Livestock, creeping things, and beasts of the earth, (each) according to its kind." And it was so.
1:25 And ELOHIM made the beasts of the earth according to their kind, and the livestock according to its kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And HE saw that it was good.

1:26 Then ELOHIM said, let us make humanity in our image - according to our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and the birds of the air, and over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
1:27 So Elohim created humanity in his image. In the image of God, he created them, male and female.
1:28 Then HE blesssed them, and said to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply. Fill the earth, and subdue it. And Rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over every creeping thing that moves upon the ground.

1:29 Then ELOHIM said, "Behold, I have given you every herb that bears seed, which is on the face of the Earth, and every tree yeilding fruit which bears it's seed. This will be your food.
1:30  "And to every best of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on teh ground which has the breath of life (I have given) every green herb for food." And it was so.

1:31 And ELOHIM saw that everything he had made, and behold it was very good.
There was an evening, and there was a morning. Day 6.

Mark Chapter 3
